Quartz countertops are an engineered stone, not a natural slab like granite. They are made from about 93% crushed quartz crystals combined with resins and pigments. The result is a non-porous, very strong, and consistent surface that’s ideal for indoor kitchens and baths.

Because it’s non-porous, quartz is hygienic, stain resistant, and scratch resistant, while still offering a wide range of colors and patterns.

Quartz slabs are produced using a process called compaction by vibro-compression vacuum, originally developed by Breton Stone in Italy. This technology is licensed around the world and used by many major quartz brands.

During manufacturing, the crushed quartz, resin, and color are pressed under vacuum and vibration, then cured and polished. This is what gives quartz its consistent pattern, strength, and low maintenance.

For daily cleaning, we recommend a sponge or paper towel with mild dish soap and water. Wipe spills promptly and avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads.

Quartz is non-porous and stain resistant, so it does not need sealing. With simple, regular wiping, it will stay beautiful for many years.
